Glass fused to steel tanks

VÍTKOVICE already for more than 40 years has produced the ground bolted tanks from enamelled plates.

These enamelled tanks can be used separately for liquid and loose materials, and also as a basic building element of sophisticated eco-engineering constructions, such as sewage treatment plants or biogas plants.

What the enamel in fact is that gives these tanks their extraordinary properties ? The enamel is a glass of specific chemical composition that is prepared in a way that have resulting chemical and physical properties making possible fusion to steel that results in a compact protective coating. Coating is done in special furnace at temperature higher than 800°C.

Enamelled tanks, silos and bins are self-supporting shell-type structures assembled from steel plates enamelled on both sides. Separate plates are connected with special bolts with half-round heads covered with plastic. The connections are sealed with special elastic cements, as well as all the assembly elements and accessories are furnished with special surface treatment. The tanks are designed in compliance with the standards ČSN, EN, ISO, BS and DIN.

Not harmful to health separate components make possible to apply in agriculture, food industry, building industry and ecology.
